Sarah Campbell

Sarah Campbell….what a delight.

If you don’t know Sarah, you might wish you did after reading this.   I first met Sarah when my daughter went to prep in 2009.  She is as a parent of my daughter’s friend.  I think she was actually a parent liaison for the class and coordinated the school disco and had a big hand in the fete.

Sarah also helps out at the dance school where her two daughters (and mine) attend.  She can be found making things to sell at the canteen or behind the counter there or co-ordinating the volunteer roster for the concerts…..etc etc.

This is the type of person Sarah is.  She is of the “giving” variety.  She gives, gives, gives with an enormous open heart.  Makes me feel all warm just thinking about it……

I have watched her do these things throughout the years without skipping a beat whilst she renovated her own house, building her own hair and make up salon out the front of it so she could be near her kids and do what she loved to do.

Sarah often looks after my daughter, Lily.  Yesterday, I had a new book keeper come over.  Sarah came and picked up Lily and took her over her place.  The book keeper and I were meant to be finished by 3pm and I was going to go and pick Lily up after we finished.  Well, the job was a little larger than we expected.  4pm flew by, then 5pm and 6pm…..every time I check in with Sarah she reassured me everything was fine – to just come over when I finished.  Well, we finally got to pick Lily up by about 7.30pm……This is not unusual – if Sarah can help she will.  The other thing that is great about Sarah is that if she can’t help, she will either try and suggest another way, or direct you to someone else if she knows of someone that can help.

Sarah is not a “people pleaser” of a person either, like many of my clients describe themselves.  By that I mean, she doesn’t do things out of obligation or becasuse she is scared people won’t like her if she says no or she doesn’t put her own needs last.  She has a pretty good handle on being consistent in doing what she enjoys and loves.  She understands the value of looking after herself first.  She just genuinely wants to help and that is a very attractive quality.

For anyone who wants to look at their most gorgeous, drop in and visit Sarah at her quaint salon in Wilston – she will make you over so you will just want and sit and look at yourself!   She did my hair and make up for my photo shoot for my CD, Resilient Soul (www.stephanie-gill.com).  To see more about what Sarah and her make over brilliance can do, go to her website at  http://www.brisbanehairandmake-up.com/.

So, thanks to you, the beautiful Sarah Campbell.  You are loved and appreciated.  We are grateful that you are in our lives.  I wish more and more wonderful things for you and your gorgeous family.   xxx
